MessageBar - bit BlazorUI


A banner (MessageBar) displays errors, warnings, or important information about an open app or file. For example, if a file failed to upload an error message bar should appear.


Different types of BitMessageBar.

Success MessageBar. Visit our website.
Warning MessageBar. Visit our website.
There are multiple options to customize.
Dismiss option enabled by adding OnDismiss parameter.

BitMessageBar parameters
Default value
Actions RenderFragment? null The content of the action to show on the message bar.
ChildContent RenderFragment? null The content of message bar.
DismissButtonAriaLabel string? null Aria label on dismiss button if onDismiss is defined.
IsMultiline bool true Determines if the message bar is multi lined. If false, and the text overflows over buttons or to another line, it is clipped.
MessageBarType BitMessageBarType BitMessageBarType.Info The type of message bar to render.
DismissIconName string Clear Custom Fabric icon name to replace the dismiss icon. If unset, default will be the Fabric Clear icon.
MessageBarIconName string? null Custom icon to replace the message bar icon. If unset, default will be the icon set by messageBarType.
OnDismiss EventCallback Whether the message bar has a dismiss button and its callback. If null, dismiss button won't show.
OverflowButtonAriaLabel string? null Aria label on overflow button if truncated is true.
Role string? null Custom role to apply to the message bar.
Truncated bool false Determines if the message bar text is truncated. If true, a button will render to toggle between a single line view and multiline view. This parameter is for single line message bars with no buttons only in a limited space scenario.

Class string? null Custom CSS class for the root element of the component.
HtmlAttributes Dictionary<string, object> new Dictionary<string, object>() Capture and render additional attributes in addition to the component's parameters.
Id string? null Custom id attribute for the root element. if null the UniqueId will be used instead.
IsEnabled bool true Whether or not the component is enabled.
Style string? null Custom CSS style for the root element of the component.
Visibility BitVisibility BitVisibility.Visible Whether the component is visible, hidden or collapsed.

BitVisibility enum
Visible 0 The content of the component is visible.
Hidden 1 The content of the component is hidden, but the space it takes on the page remains (visibility:hidden).
Collapsed 2 The component is hidden (display:none).
